Hi everyone
VideoSwiper was today returned to it’s rightful owners at 11PM. eNom who take care of domain desputes did a fanstastic job investigating this and thanks to them we got the domains stolen back failry quickly concidering they recieve 1000’s of complaints everyday.
I have to personally thank Jason one of the compliance officers at eNom who i beleive worked hard on this case at bringing the hackers down.
We also took great pleasure today in emailing www.slicehost.com, SHAME ON YOU these were the guys hosting the hackers even after they were given evidence and told to suspend their account which simply fell on def ears.
We were also glad that both Twitter and Facebook played their part in returning our accounts to us once they had the details required from eNom.
We will need a few days to get ourselves ship shape and back on top form so do relax if you can on the support tickets so we can get to work bringing the application back up to full speed.
We strongly advise that all members edit their account details and change their email address to one they have never used with VideoSwiper before, and to remove the old address you were using at VideoSwiper.com, this way the hackers will have no way of contacting you if your email address has been removed and changed.
Work will continue on V2 as soon as possible but due to this hacking things have been put on hold as you can understand, this will soon resume and full programming will continue.
We strongly suggest you remove all plugins from your websites that you used with the hackers, mainly their poor attempt at trying to make a download mod to which the quality of video transfer was 80% less than ours and they supported just 4 scripts, all I can say is any member happy with that level of professionalism should be shot at dawn.
More information can be found inside your VideoSwiper account on how to claim back any money paid to the hackers from the 34th Dec 2009 to 7th January 2010 and we will also be giving more advise to all our users ion what to do in this situation.
I think Ill leave it there for now and get on with the real stuff….
